ReplyDeleteThat is "Danetta Ewok" (married name), and she is from Warm Springs.
This is a Great Lady, I should look for more of her in Seatle since there was an "All Around."
The younger ones should see more of Mrs, Ewok dance style.
A true winner!
That is Danetta Ewok (married name), and she is from Warm Springs, Ore. Yes, she is an awesome dancer with beautiful footwork. The style is awesome. That was the time when the ladies were graceful, ladylike and you could see the footwork and admire the beautiful colors. Nowadays, it's too wild. Some dance the whole song with their arms in the air.

ReplyDeleteI'm [again] new to this style of dancing and I don't know...But how can you tell good dancing. If I practice a lot will I be able to learn good dancing from bad? Uhm...Thanks and any advice?
ReplyDelete...
ReplyDeleteI'm a beginner to this dancing style but I had thought that it was part of the dance to make the tassels of the shawl and dress move however much they can while dancing.
Has it changed?
Now thats good dancing, I havent seen good dancing like that in years. The one in the maroon and gold has awesome foot work almost like some champion dancers from Marty South Dakota known as the Hares sisters. Shelly and Sherry. Both are very good dancers and I have never seen them beat in a competition pow-wow. Great Dancing!!
